The primary energy centres within our bodies are referred to as chakras in Ayurvedic philosophy. The 7 primary chakras are located along the backbone and span from the base of the spine to the crown of the head, expressing diverse physical, emotional, creative, and spiritual aspects. The endocrine system interacts with the chakras, which have the ability to drive life energy, or ‘prana,’ through the body to ensure health and vigour. The chakras must occasionally be balanced and maintained in order to keep this flow consistent and regulated.
